Migration in Thailand, Southeast Asia and further afield is increasingly driven by complex and intersecting factors. In this ARCM-CE Policy Brief, we outline emerging and prevailing issues, analyse and provide recommendations to address key challenges in the following areas concerning migration and migrant populations: 1) new trends in forced migration, 2) seasonal labour in Thailand’s agriculture, 3) labour migration in the blue economy, 4) ageing societies and care work, and 5) environment, climate change and migration, as discussed during the annual International Migrants Day Conference on 16 December 2022.
