This presentation will explains a evolution and function of a coordinated disinformation infrastructure in Brazil, intended to influence the 2022 General Elections. Drawing on work undertaken with colleagues at NetLab–Federal University of Rio de Janeiro–is raises questions around social media moderation and raises political questions about the veracity of state-sponsored disinformation in the so-called “Global South”.
