งานสัมมนาระดับนานาชาติเรื่อง “Changes Toward Low Carbon Society: A Path Towards Net Zero Emissions by 2050”
ศูนย์พหุวัฒนธรรมศึกษาและนวัตกรรมทางสังคม สถาบันเอเชียศึกษา จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย ในฐานะ “ศูนย์เชี่ยวชาญเฉพาะทางพหุวัฒนธรรมศึกษาและนวัตกรรมทางสังคม” (Center of Excellence : CE) จัดสัมมนาทางวิชาการระดับนานาชาติเรื่อง “Changes Toward Low Carbon Society: A Path Towards Net Zero Emissions by 2050” เมื่อวันที่ 6 ธันวาคม 2566 เวลา 09.00-12.00 น. ณ ห้องประชุม L Social Innovation Hub โดยได้รับเกียรติจากวิทยากรผู้เชี่ยวชาญ 4 ท่าน ได้แก่
1. Prof. Nophea Sasaki, Ph.D., Professor of Natural Resources Management, School of Environment, Resources and Development, Asian Institute of Technology นำเสนอถึงแนวทางการแก้ปัญหาโดยการใช้เทคโนโลยีที่ผสานกับธรรมชาติเพื่อให้บรรลุการปล่อยก๊าซเรือนกระจกสุทธิเป็นศูนย์โดยยกตัวอย่างจากแคมปัสมหาวิทยาลัย
2. Prof. Chongrak Polprasert, Ph.D., Professor of Environmental Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Thammasat University นำเสนอถึงการจัดการขยะมูลฝอยอย่างมีประสิทธิภาพเพื่อให้บรรลุเป้าหมายการปล่อยก๊าซเรือนกระจกสุทธิเป็นศูนย์ โดยยกตัวอย่างการจัดการขยะจากประเทศต่างๆในทวีปเอเชีย
3. Bordin Vongvitayapirom, D.Eng., Senior Manager, Internal Services – Sustainability & Climate Centre of Excellence, Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu นำเสนอถึงการพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืนในบริบทของประชาคมโลกโดยยกตัวอย่างจากการประชุม COP28 นอกจากนี้ยังนำเสนอตัวอย่างจากองค์ระดับโลกต่างๆเกี่ยวกับแนวคิดและการดำเนินธุรกิจตามแนวทางการพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืนเพื่อมาประยุกต์ใช้ในประเทศไทย
4. Stefan Bößner Research Fellow, Stockholm Environment Institute นำเสนอถึงการลดการปล่อยก๊าซเรือนกระจกในอุตสาหกรรมพลังงานและภาคการเกษตรเพื่อการบรรลุเป้าหมายการปล่อยก๊าซเรือนกระจกสุทธิเป็นศูนย์

The Center of Excellence for Multicultural Studies and Social Innovation, Institute of Asian Studies, Chulalongkorn University, organized an international seminar called “Changes Toward Low Carbon Society: A Path Towards Net Zero Emissions by 2050” On December 6, 2023. 09.00-12.00 a.m. at Social Innovation Hub (Room L), Chulalongkorn University. honored with 4 distinguished guest speakers:
1. Prof. Nophea Sasaki, Ph.D., Professor of Natural Resources Management, School of Environment, Resources and Development, Asian Institute of Technology spoke about presenting solutions using technology combined with nature to achieve net zero greenhouse gas emissions, using examples from university campuses.
2. Prof. Chongrak Polprasert, Ph.D., Professor of Environmental Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Thammasat University spoke about effective solid waste management to achieve the goal of net zero greenhouse gas emissions. By giving examples of waste management from various countries in Asia.
3. Bordin Vongvitayapirom, D.Eng., Senior Manager, Internal Services – Sustainability & Climate Centre of Excellence, Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu spoke about sustainable development in the context of the global community, using examples from the COP28 meeting. He also presented examples from various global organizations regarding practices and business operations according to sustainable development guidelines, and implications in Thailand.
4. Stefan Bößner Research Fellow, Stockholm Environment Institutespoke about reducing greenhouse gas emissions in the energy industry and agricultural sector in order to achieve net zero greenhouse gas emissions.
